ENDURANCE Final Update

Posted on 15:47 by Unknown
Work on the ENDURANCE project has ended. The final data products consisted in an updated bathymetry model for the entire west lake bonney, using the complete 2008 and 2009 datasets. The data has been rendered as high resolution (8000x4000) elevation and contour images, plus 3d meshes and points clouds up to a resolution of 1 meter.
The final rendered West Lake Bonney Bathymetry

With respect to the previous models, the bathymetry has been corrected using a new shore line dataset. Using the new shore data it was possible to generate a much better zero-depth contour for the mesh.
These images show a comparison of the sonar reconstruction without using the shore line dataset (top) and with the shore line dataset (bottom).
